Apple’s iOS 18 Beta: What to Expect from the Latest Update

Apple has released iOS 18 developer beta 2 with new features like iPhone Mirroring on Macs, improved SharePlay screen sharing, a dark mode icon for the App Store, and a multi-language keyboard. The iPhone Mirroring feature allows you to project your iPhone screen onto your Mac, making it easier to stay updated without unlocking your phone. You can also transfer files and interact between devices seamlessly.

SharePlay screen sharing in iOS 18 beta 2 now lets you draw on and control others’ screens during shared sessions, enhancing remote collaboration. The App Store has a new dark mode icon for reduced eye strain in low-light settings, improving the user experience. The multi-language keyboard supports up to three languages simultaneously, including 27 Indian languages, making it easier for multilingual users to switch languages.

iOS 18 beta 2 also brings Rich Communication Services (RCS) support to the Messages app, adding features like read receipts and typing indicators. Other updates include a wallpaper tinting toggle, improved icon contrast on the Home Screen, and enhancements to the Passwords app. The Control Center’s power button now has a more noticeable haptic feel to prevent accidental activation.
